SLEEP DISORDER LAB

Using science and medicine for a good night's sleep

A good night's sleep is a simple prescription for your well being. However, restful sleep may be something many people only dream about. Although disrupted sleep is blamed for everything from bad moods to chronic fatigue, it can be an indicator of an illness that may interfere with daytime activities and put one's health at risk.

Some of the most common disorders include sleep apnea, insomnia, narcolepsy, sleep walking and restless leg syndrome. The St. James Sleep Disorder Lab offers patients the expertise of three board-certified sleep medicine physicians for the diagnosis and treatment of these disorders.

Individuals who suspect that they may have a sleep disorder can take advantage of the facilities at Chicago Heights. Studies at the Sleep Disorder Lab are conducted in a hotel room-like setting and revolve around the patient's schedule. If patients have questions about their study, they can call the Sleep Disorder Lab at any time.
